Road Trip – Blue Mountains (Part 1)

Aussie Road Trip

We only started “proper” planning like a week before the trip and we only planned for like the first 5 days of our 17days trip… Haha..

So, here we go…..

002
Having our Kaya Toast before boarding the plane to Perth for transit.

003001
All ready and full with smiles….. waited so long for this trip

After 4 hours of flight we landed on Perth soil at 12am in the morning.. Yesh.. 12am.. So there is nothing much for us to do and we just waited and waited and waited for time to pass.. Met some guy from Melbourne and found out that he was also in transit and was heading for world cup in South Africa! How cool is that.. He actually quit his job to go for world cup. How many of us will actually do that? Anyway, hope he is fine there. Ok~ back to our waiting…

Perth Domestic Airport: Can’t sleep and feeling bored while waiting.

 006 007
I like this shot of the old man.. 5.45am flight to Sydney.. ZzzZZZz

 008
And after many hours.. SYDNEY..~!

Collected our cars from Bayswater and headed for Bluemountain immediately…. Raining cats and dogs.. moody and no photos…

Overcliff/Undercliff Walk – All we wanted is to take a photo at a CLIFF.

009
It was freezing in the morning… like seriously FREEZING. See… KokNgee looks cold~

 010 011
Kok Ngee and Mahader are trying to find our location and which route we should take.

 012
Decided on the overcliff track and here we go.. trekking in such cold weather is new for all of us. Haha

 013  015
Mahader taking shots for Peiyun and Yenling if I didn’t remember wrongly.

 014
GuoDong and Mahader… All Ready

016 017
Track was easy initially~

 018 019
As it rain like mad the day before, the route conditions was quite bad actually.. Was wet and puddles of water here and there.. As you can see we were not dress for trekking so we had to hop around to avoid the puddle of water.. Dong (above) with his hush puppies shoes. =)

  021
Taking photos of each other taking photos.

 022
First nice view we found. So we all stopped to take some shots.

 023
Yenling is too cold to take photos..

Found our First CLIFF… hahaha… I didn’t take any photos of myself. Mostly are taken in Mahader’s camera. I only took 2  shots and a video.

Click to see the video I took at the first cliff

 030
Another nice view

 031 032
Looking at rocks from different angle.

 033

035
I wonder how these plants grow on rocks.

 034
And soon.. I found a rock that have a face.. a duck maybe?

  036 037
Posing for photos..

Schmap Perth Guide

As you all know, Yenling’s photo got shortlisted for Schmap Perth Guide – June 2010 edition.

Yenling help me by forwarding my flicker link to them, and thanks to her… I got shortlisted too.. So, hopefully, both our photos will get selected and be published in the June edition. =) Yeah. Although this is not one the shots that I really love, I am still really happy that I was shortlisted. More of my Perth trip photos in my flickr.  I miss Perth and the Perthians.

Asian Civilisations Museum

We didn’t plan to visit this place initially… But due to “lao tian” we got nothing to do and were stuck at the museum for some time, so feeling bored we decided to go in and take a look. For the whole story, visit Yenling's Blog.
