New Zealand – Fox Glacier

Next stop was a drive from Queenstown to Fox Glacier which took us a couple of hours.

Had a short stop at BLUE POOL along the way.

014

015
Getting real close to the water to get a shot..

There are suppose to be brown tout migrating in the river during autumn and winter (if I am not wrong). Too bad we didn’t get to see any of that.

016
Lots of rocks being stacked up by visitors.

017
It’s a really interesting scene to have so many stacks of rocks in the area.

018
A view from Knights Point Lookout.

019
I can’t recall where this is. Lots and lots of pebbles with messages written on them and place along the whole beach. Really cool. And the All Blacks won recently, so that explains why I took this shot.

020
I find this landscape really special.

021
Trekking at Lake Matheson.

Didn’t manage to get any decent shots as the weather was really windy and cloudy that day..

022
This was a small wall right outside at our motel. Nice mosses growing on the rocks.

Reached Fox Galcier and we joined their half day tour.

023
The bus ride from “Fox Glacier Guiding” to Fox Glacier. It’s actually just a 5min ride away.. haha

024
Trekking to the foot of the ice.

025
Our guide.

026

027

028
The conditions are so wet that these mosses can actually grow without water.

030

031
Getting ready to scale the ice with crampons on.

032033
Our first time walking on ice

034
Really nice of them to provide walking sticks. Make sure you grab one off them, really useful along the way.

035
Crampons in action. It’s really fun actually. You have to stamp your feet into the ice so that the crampons will bite into the ice and provide more grip.

036
These guides have duty roster everyday to cut out ice steps for guided tour like ours. So thoughtful of them. After cutting the steps for us, they were taking a break on the ice enjoying the scenery.

037

038

039
Nice cold ice all around us.

040

041

We really enjoyed our half day tour. Although we didn’t manage to join the full day tour cause it was fully booked when we got there, we still had a really nice time trekking on ice. So please go try it if you have the chance,

Universal Studio Singapore

Here we are again, back at USS~!!!

Battlestar is really cool and fun. The “Human” ride is actually kind of boring as compared to the “CYLON” The “Human” feel really heavy and slow, serves as a very good ride to warm up your body. Whereas the CYLON ride is highly recommended. you will feel really alive after you try it.

Went for Transformer after that.

.

.

.

Muahahaha. Damn freaking cool.

Not crazy, Just fun and excitement

Being a really new ride, I have no idea what to expect from this ride. The only thing I knew about it, is that it’s a 4d ride. The truth is, it’s really damn shiok~! really interesting ride, better than those 3D movies that we have in Singapore.

003
Saw Optimus taking a stroll in USS

009
Deep in thoughts

Too shock that the parade as cancelled.

~Nice day~

New Zealand – Queenstown

Queenstown.

A town full of hype, fun and extreme activities. So much to do here~!!

027

026
Sun bathing in the sun

003b
Queenstown skyline. A nice place to visit. You will also be able to try lots of other things like bungee, paragliding, luge etc…

004
Sunny morning at skyline

005
Paragliding waiting to take off. Worth the money.. you get to stay in the air a lot longer than skydive.

006
Catching the wind

001
Flying silently in the air.

002
I guess it’s really nice. Would try it if I didn’t go for skydive

NZONE skydive~!!!!

007
Waiting for your turn to jump out of a perfectly fine plane.

008
A little scenery to keep you calm.

NZONE Skydive new plane Supervan 900
Our plane that took us up (Picture from NZONE)

001
Ascending to 15000 feet with my dive master, Andre. He explained a lot about skydive to me. Really cool guy

002
The first few seconds felt kind of weird. But I felt it wasn’t as bad as rollercoaster cause I’m dropping at 1G (I guessed)

.

001
60 seconds of free fall. The wind on the face is crazy… It’s so fast the it gets kind of hard to breath.

003
My cameraman is kind of crap, don’t understand why he is always above me. Looks like he’s taking photo of the dive master instead of me.

004
That’s Queenstown in the background

005
Safetly back onto earth.

In short, you all SHOULD really try skydive once in your life. Other than my cameraman (Yenling’s was so much better), my skydive was AWESOME. Nzone did a very good job in making you comfortable throughout the whole thing. Logistics are nicely planned and everything went really smooth. They even provide you internet to upload your photos onto facebook immediately after you land. How cool is that~!!!

And, it’s not as scary as it seems. Rollercoaster are more scary sometimes. Will definitely try again if I have the chance. I’m not crazy. I just DARE to face fear. Not like I’m scared actually. Muahahhahahaha

010
Queenstown to Glenorchy

Got to know this driving route from Trey Ratcliff (his version) taken in a different season. Hope you all like mine version~!!!

011
Our lovely journey
